My name is Summer I am 6 years old.

My pony is called Maggie she is a Welsh pony, she is 13 years old and 11hh. I started riding her when I was three and now we have her on full loan. I like to jump Maggie and we like going to shows.

We have been to Equifest twice, the first year we got into the evening performance and last year we won the lead rein showjumping class.

Sometimes my 5 year old brother Marshall rides Maggie and I ride Dinky, another pony at my yard.

I sometimes ride Bertie, a 4 year old Welsh pony too.

In March I jumped Maggie in our first class without mummy holding the reins! We had so much fun, Maggie is the best pony ever.

Summer's mum says: at the moment we are lucky we can still see Maggie and look after her everyday, the children are just hacking out in walk and we are not jumping or riding off the lead to keep all riding low risk.

Hello Everyone my name is Penelope and I will be three in a couple of months. My pony is called Nelly and we are just starting to go out on hacks around our village.

My mummy has a pony called Higgins. He is very fat and greedy! I help my Daddy to muck out and feed the ponies everyday since I was really tiny. We are very lucky to have such a nice Daddy! He also leads me out but sometimes he has to run because Nelly is very fast!

We were hoping to go to our first show this summer but we are very sad that they might not happen now but we will have lots of extra time to practice.

Hello my name is Maisie and this is my pony Vixen ! I’m nearly 2 years old and Vixen is 7. At home we have three horses Smidge , Simon and Vixen. Smidge is Daddy’s horse , Simon's is my mummy’s horse and Vixen is my pony.

I’ve been riding since I was in mummy’s tummy and I got Vixen when I was 16 months old. I love to go and help with the horses and I have to muck out everyday, although I’m in charge of filling the water buckets I tend to get very wet and so does everyone else!!

I enjoy riding whenever I can and try to go out most days. I’m learning my ‘up downs’ and jump position which I like to use a lot, Vixen loves jumping so I think we’re a good pair !

I love to go hacking and hunting. We did want to try and have a go at some showing this year, but we will have to see as its new for both Vixen, mummy and I !

No matter the weather I love to ride, but I cannot wait until the summer so we can do lots of things together and have lots of fun ❤

Hello my is Margot, I am 3 years old and live in North Yorkshire with my mummy, daddy and two dogs Alfie and Tilly. I also have a smelly older brother called Myles, he’s 6!

I have a welsh pony called Diesel, who I love lots and lots. I love to brush him at the stable, mummy says he’s a saint with me but he’s always getting into trouble with mummy and she shouts naughty words at him. He always stands on my mummy and daddy’s toes and is always trying to run away from them.

I try and ride diesel every weekend and sometimes after school, we usually ride round our village because all the fields are so wet. I like riding around the village, sometimes I just fall asleep and let my mummy do all the work.

My smelly brother Myles also has a pony, he has a Dartmoor called Ruby, all he talks about is Harry Potter and wishes Ruby could fly. I like hacking out with Myles, he goes fast with daddy running after him, me and mummy try and keep up but they are too fast. Myles and daddy tried to go fast on Diesel once but Diesel didn’t want to and bucked Myles off and daddy fell over. Diesel prefers it with me and mummy.

We went to some horse shows last summer, and won some rosettes. We want to win some more this summer but mummy says there isn’t any shows on. We are all really sad apart from daddy, he seems quite happy!

Hello, I am Felicity Mae and I am three years old.

I love helping out at the stables with all the horses. I like mucking out and filling up haynets, my favourite job is grooming and picking out their feet.

I have been riding since before I could walk and I am enjoying learning rising trot. Misty is very bouncy and makes me giggle!

When I ride or groom, I like to sing to the horses and they like it too!

Hey my name is Lilly-May and I am 2 years old, but soon it's my birthday. I have three horses at my house called Hollie, Danny and Donald. Donald is my pony and he's my best friend, I love to ride my auntie Sarah's horses Hollie and Dan Dan as well. I first sat on Hollie when I was a tiny baby then my auntie got dan dan and I love riding him and going over poles like they were big jumps. Mummy and daddy got me Donald in August 2019 and I love to ride him all the time, I'm now practising for lead rein when I go to shows. I love to trot and I'm practising my up downs and soon I'm going to jump with him.

I love to look after my donald and help out on the yard, giving him a bath is great fun. I will always make time for a cuddle with my Donald even though I can be tired after nursery. I love to ride him in from the field when hes been out playing, I love to give him his favourite treats when he's been a super good boy. I love to wear my auntie's rosettes and I'm soon going to win lots and lots of my own. I want to ride my Donald on the television like the big horses like John Whitaker. Donald,Dan Dan and Hollie are my best friends,I love them so much and giving them cuddles is my favourite thing in the world.

Hi, my name is jayden Wilson and I have recently turned 2 years old, I have a 4 year old Welsh pony and my very own special 1 eyed foal Hunter who is 8 months old.

I have been riding since I turned 6 months old, I absolutely love going down the field and helping mummy see to the ponies, we have 4 in total, the other 2 being my mummies!

I enjoy taking chance out on hacks and we are starting to go out longer everytime, I have fallen of chance a few times when she's been feeling a bit fresh and mummy didn't manage to catch me in time, but straight back on and we are going again! I now enjoy trotting and making lots of dinosaur sounds whilst we are skipping along, I can already trot by my self without my mummy holding onto me! Chancey absolutely loves jumping so hopefully in a few years we will be able to start then eventually attend some shows.

My baby pony hunter unfortunately had his eye removed after the new year as he had bad trauma to it, but he's still the same and loves me going over to cuddle him, I always give him his food and stand there with him whilst he eats it, hunter will hopefully be my next pony up from chance as I grow into a big boy, he's very special to me and we have a great bond already.

Hi,

My name is Wyatt and I am 5 years old.

My shetland is called George and he is amazing. We are very lucky to loan him as he is a super star. I ride George off the lead rein and he looks after me. Everywhere we go everyone just loves to see George. We call him Gorgeous George.

I have loved riding since I was a baby and I have always been around horses as my older sister also rides. We keep our horses on a small livery yard where we can enjoy our ponies with friends.

I have had George since October 2019 - I was lucky enough to ride him before we got him on loan so we have been having fun together since I was 4. Before George I had a Welsh section A called kezzie who took me to my first pony camp in 2018.

I do everything with George. I take care of him every day and make sure he has everything he needs. We go to pony club lessons together where we try and catch up with all the big kids ! We have been cross country jumping and we attend show jumping shows where we just have the best time together. Even when things go wrong George patiently waits for me to jump back on ��

We have big plans for 2020 - when hopefully we can get back out having fun - we are hoping to make it to the Sunshine Tour Championships, we would like to do a beach trip and enjoy pony camp.

I love to ride and be around horses. George and I have lots of fun ahead and when my legs get too long I plan to steal my sisters pony !!

Harper Aged 2.5 years

I would like to introduce you to 2.5 yo Harper and her pony, The Painted Pirate.

Harper had a rough start to life and was born with an Omphalocele, a type of badly placed hernia. She also had a major heart defect requiring surgery. Once Harper had recovered from all her surgeries, she started accompanying mom while she taught lessons. It became apparent quickly that Harper was bitten by the horse-bug. We decided to fast track getting a pony to help with physical therapy and building core strength.

Pirate has been a part of our family for almost a year. Harper rides 4-6 days a week in almost every weather (snow rides are some of her favorite!) The two have competed in leadline this past year, finishing as reserve champions for a local schooling series.

Some of Harper’s favorite things to do with Pirate are: practicing pony club games, picking feet, playing with the big ball, and of course feeding Pirate lots of cookies!

Being a professional in Eventing, I feel grateful to have a child grow up with a pony. It teaches her responsibility and structure, but more importantly it reminds me to slow down, have a good giggle, and enjoy the little things.

Hi I'm Pippa, I'm 3 years old and have 2 ponies Magic and Buster.

I have been riding since I was 18 months old.

I regularly compete in showing and love coming home with rossettes.

I have recently started jumping more and love it.

Me and Magic like to jump, we recently did some little cross country jumps with her and she loved it.

Buster I haven't had long but he's doing really well. He has started jumping and is really enjoying it.

We hope to be out competing with them both soon and hopefully do more work off the lead rein.

I help my mummy do all the jobs on the yard and love to give my ponies treats.

Hi, my name is Isaac and I am 4 years old. I have always been around horses as mummy rides and daddy works with racehorses. We live on a stud farm so I get to see the horses before and after school as they live in the paddocks next door to my house.

I have a grey pony called Polo who I have a very special bond with. I did my first show when I was 18 months old and that’s when I got my first rosettes. Polo has taught me a lot when it comes to riding as he can be very mischievous!! I like to jump on him as I would like to become a jump jockey one day ��I also like to steal a ride from the bigger horses occasionally.

Last week I took Polo for a hack around the village and when I was not with him, I was catching up on Cheltenham, as I love going to the races and cheering on my favourite jockey, Daryl Jacob. Recently I went to the races and met my hero Daryl. It was very exciting and he even gave me a pair of his goggles. I hope to go to ‘jockey school’ when I am older so I can be just like him. This week I got a new riding hat which makes me feel like a real jockey.

In the summer, I am hoping to get out and about with Polo to do some dressage and jumping classes.

Hi my name is Aubree, I am 3 years old and I live in Leicestershire. I have my own pony called Pixie who is 8 years old and is a Welsh section A. I got her for Christmas last year as a surprise from Santa!

We spent last year getting to know each other and practising my riding. This year I’m excited to start heading out to some local shows, my favourite thing to do is jumping so I’m looking forward to getting in the showjumping ring! I also like to pretend that I’m Elsa riding my water horse from Frozen 2 around the riding school, so it will be fun to start dressing up and having fun at the shows.

No matter what the weather is I love going down the yard to play with my best friend and our ponies! I’m hoping that this year I’ll start to feel more confident and win some rosettes at the shows.

Hi my name is Sofia-Rose and I am 5 years old.

I started riding just before I turned 3 because my big brother was having lessons and someone popped a helmet on me to try and I never looked back.

I started riding weekly at a riding school but now I have my own loan pony called Coco who I have weekly lessons on. Coco is such a great pony and really looks after me every time I ride. Because of our close bond he has given me the confidence to canter and start to do small jumps and I have even been cantering with no hands on the lunge to learn to balance and stay in the saddle.

Come rain or shine (and most recently wind) we spend every weekend together and Coco loves nothing more than standing to be groomed and pampered.

We recently took part in our first horse show and I came away with lots of rosettes which I am very proud of. We are so looking forward to the rest of this year to carry on competing together and see if we can bag our 1st place.

Hi everyone �� my name is Tommy and I am 4 years old.

I have a speech delay but it has never knocked my confidence and I am an outgoing brave little rider .

We live in a lovely county with lots of hacking on and off road. My favourite pony is Ted Boy "Ted" and he is an 11 year old skewbold 13.2hh and Mummy has owned him since he was 7 months old. Ted always follows me everywhere and often falls asleep whilst smelling my hair when I brush him, or in general ��. We love hacking, he loves drama but he always keeps me safe. We have done a little jumping which he loves and we love taking the off road routes as I enjoy the countryside and all the sights and sounds on horse back. My other pony is my Dads called Megan. Megan is a piebold 9 year old 15.1 gypsy vanna ride and drive mare, we go out on long hacks with Mummy across the lovely contryside and I love to go trotting!!!!

I always get involved with what Mum and Dad are up to with the ponies whether driving, riding, carnivals and Christmas events, I love getting involved ��. I put this together with help from Mum. Thank you for reading a short blog of my story I hope you enjoyed it too. Tommy ��

Hi, I am Darcy I and I am 8 years old.

I have only been riding for a year and I have taken to it really well I am not scared of anything my parents put in front of me. I have fallen off quite a lot with my first pony Twiglet but I just jumped straight back on. My highlight is going to the British elite with Twiglet and qualifying for the evening performance, my family had lots of tears watching me.

I now have my second pony called Pipkin. he is amazing and I have jumped an incredible 90cm with him, he is the best and I can’t wait for the season to start. I’m hoping to do some BSPS shows this year with Pipkin.

Twiglet is the Dartmoor pictured and Pipkin is the chestnut welsh B.

I live on a farm and I love my animals. I feed my chickens, ducks, dogs and horses before nursery in the morning and make sure they are all ok. Noah Evans age 4 And his 3 wonderful ponies, Seren 7 years old (palomino) Spirit 8 years old (dun)and twister 9 years old (grey).

Noah has been around horses since the day he was born, from a young age he always want to ride and was a natural at it. Noah did his first showing classes at the age of 2, and went on to win all of his classes, he continued to do really well with showing as he gotten older. Last year he qualified for stars champion of champions �� for best lead rein rider, and best lead rein M&M. This year we are going to continue the showing, maybe a few county level shows and do a bit of show jumping while working at home to come off lead rein which we did have a little go last year and most of all making more memories with his ponies and friends ��

My name is Isabelle Goffin, but I'm known as Belle. I am 7 years old and I have been riding ever since I can remember! My pony's name is Chico, he is quite new to us and we are still getting to grips but our favourite thing to do is jump! We are part of berwyn and dee pony club and we compete in showjumping, mounted games and triathlons.

When I'm not riding I'm usually hanging up side down off the door bars in my bedroom. I love to do gymnastics! I train once a week at gym and once a week at acrobatics but my most favourite thing in the world is vaulting.

I've been training in equestrian vaulting for almost a year now, in my first competition I was the youngest competitor of the day and it was the English championships. Go big or go home – I got 8th place, that might just be when the bug hit! Vaulting to me is the best sport in the world, I love to ride and I love to do gym and when I vault I get to do both together! I train every Saturday currently with a brilliant team - Shropshire vaulters, based in Much Wenlock. I train on a 17hh horse called bear but we also have a new vaulting horse currently in training called Clyde. I love vaulting on bear, he has a big smooth canter and he doesn't mind when I don't land on my feet when I dismount! When we train and compete we wear vaulting shoes which are similar to ballet shoes – running in the warm up and the regular fitness tests on a sand surface is really really hard work!

I don't know what I want to be when I grow up, but before I get grown up I want to show jump as big as I can, I'd love to have a go at Shetland racing and when they eventually put equestrian vaulting into the Olympics I want to be there!!

Indie Aged 8

Hi my name is Indie and I’m 8 years old. I have registered shetlands called Cinderella and Jamie.

I have been riding Cinderella since this July, before then I had a few ponies that just didn’t work out.

My mum and older sister have had shetlands for quite a while, which they have shown to county level, so they said I should buy one of those. Cinderella came along unseen and we haven’t looked back. We have done pony club, beach rides, show jumping, XC training and we are hoping to race next year. We just love going fast and getting up to mischief. Jamie is my new Shetland and he’s much taller than Cinderella, he’s also a lot faster and I’m hoping to race him too.

I love being able to cuddle my ponies in their stables which I can see from my bathroom window.

My name is Owen I’m 10 and this is my best friend biscuit.

I have had biscuit since April this year and together we have achieved so much in the short time we have been together so far. We are active members of the Glaisdale hunt pony club. Our favourite moment in our time together so far was when we went to wales in August to the David broome centre for the junior championships to which we got lots of fancy rosettes and 2 bronze medals out of 41 people in each class. ��

In the new year we hope to qualify again for David broome in August. And have lots of fun together at all the summer shows.

I am so lucky to have biscuit as she really is my one in a million pony ��

My name is Nell Stephens and I am 9 years old and live near Marlborough in Wiltshire. I have been riding since I was 2 years old, firstly in Australia where we lived for a few years then here in England.

I have been lucky enough to compete at HOYS in 2018 and this year I started racing Shetlands with the Shetland Pony Grand National on Briar Tiffany. I am the youngest rider to be selected to race at Olympia and Liverpool after a great season that also included me appearing in the Burghley Horse Trials promotional video for the xc.

Along with racing, I have a pony called Archie who I do everything with and who I really want to try and qualify for HOYS in 2020 in the working hunter classes and I will also be racing again and keeping my fingers crossed I get selected to race at Royal Windsor in May. I also have a couple of ponies to show for people in 2020.

I would love to become a jump jockey during the winter and an event rider during the summer. Nell x

Hi my name is Benji and am 4 years old and am totally horse and tractor nuts!

I've been riding since I was 18 months when my first pony arrived called Benny!

Benny is my best friend, he is a little furry superstar shetland and he has helped me learn the ropes! We have also had so much fun together doing;shows, fun rides, visits to the beach and mummy's Easter egg hunts - which me and Benny love the most because there is plenty of food involved! When I am a good boy and fill my star chart, Benny comes in for Saturday breakfast which is my favourite time of the week!

As I've grown a lot and need to move up I've had to find a new friend, which I wasn't too happy about but then in August I met Floyd and he is super duper too! In such a sort space of time I am already off the lead rein thanks to Floyd looking after me so well! He has longer legs so I can ride out with my mummy and daddy! We did our first show this Christmas and now I cant wait to do more and more! Unfortunately though, mummy says he is too big for Saturday breakfast!

Hello, my name is Blake. I’m nearly 3 years old and this is my best friend Toby.

The first horsey I sat on was my mummy’s horse, Robin, when I was around 3 months old. Mummy and daddy thought a 15’2 sports horse would be too big for me to start out on, so instead I teamed up Toby. Toby is owned by the people who own our livery yard, and they very kindly let me ride him and take him to shows!

Toby is the bestest friend I could ask for... we went to our first show together not long after my second birthday and we did so good together that we won a chocolate chicken! And Toby made sure that each time we stepped into the ring, he ran nicely by my daddy’s side and got us a brand new rosette!

Toby ended up getting poorly feet in the summer, which daddy tried to make better (he puts horse shoes on their feet - I told him he had to make Toby better) but Toby has been poorly for a little while now so Mummy and daddy are on the look out for my new best friend. I have put in requests for a blue pony, or maybe a green one. One thing I know it it’s got to love upping (jumping) as much as me ❤️

My name is Arley, and today is my sixth birthday.

My mummy was determined that I would love horses as much as she does, and luckily for her...I do! I first sat on a pony when I was four months old, and then two months later Mummy sat me on her horse Ellie. This was quite dangerous as Ellie can be a bit bonkers! My nanny was having a panic; apparently Mummy fell off her pony at the exactly the same age, when Nanny accidentally let go! Thankfully Mummy held on tight to me.

I have had lots of lovely adventures with different ponies - Judy, Evy, Teddy, Copper, Honey and Barney.

We have two ponies now; Barney is my favourite because he’s a boy, and he likes to do obstacle courses with me. This year, I went to Pony Club Camp for the first time, and it was great fun. I learned how to do my “up downs”, and we also loved doing little jumps and going through bending poles. Mummy and I have built our own course at the yard, and I can now ride Barney round this on my own.

Barney and I have been to a few shows over the summer, and every time we have won at least one rosette. I like shows, but the things I enjoy most are riding round the farm, going down to the stream, and feeding Barney out of the bucket of my ride on tractor. I also love doing Round The World!

We are Edward (11), Harry (9) and George (5) and we are fortunate to have four ponies between us.

Edward - I ride Tommy (Noble Bannview Toyboy) who I have had since May. I was pretty much born to ponies! I was bounced around Arley Horse Trials at 5 days old whilst Daddy was competing. This year I was lucky enough to compete at RIHS in the working hunter and was placed 7th. We were over the moon as it was our first time there. For 2020 we are hoping to qualify again and maybe have a go at some HOYS qualifiers and Gold Cup qualifiers.

Harry - I ride Daisy (Ettena Daisy Chain) and Sunny (Tettcott Sunshine). We only got Sunny in October so we are still getting to know each other. I have had so much fun with Daisy over the years and she is now being passed to my brother! She loves her hunting and purrs like a cat when she sees the hounds! My plan with Sunny is to compete in Cradle Stakes classes next season as I love my jumping.

George - I ride Connor (Blackmountain Connor) who both my brothers have ridden before me and I am lucky to be stealing Daisy off Harry! I am still on the lead rein so I still have to do those boring going round in circles classes but Connor has a rocking horse canter so I can canter him off the lead rein at home which is great fun! William Aged 4

My name is William and I am 4 years old. I was pretty much born riding as Mummy rode right up to having me and then I went and visited the horses on my way home from the hospital! My big sister Anna is 19 and does dressage and eventing so I have had to go competing a lot from being 5 days old.

I got my first pony when I was 6 months old and I used to sit in a basket saddle. When I was 3 I got Teddy pony (he has to be called Teddy pony because Daddy’s horse is called Teddy and he was here first!) I had lots of fun with Teddy but he was a bit too forward with too big a stride for me to learn rising trot so one of my big friends rides him for me now until I’m bigger and Mummy and Daddy went and bought me Onion (I am a very lucky boy!��) Onion was actually called Orion when we looked at him but I was very insistent when we viewed him that he was to be called Onion from now on and the name has stuck! Onions stable is also next door to a pony called Burgher so everybody laughs at that.

Onion and I have so much fun together and he’s taught me rising trot. We join in lessons off the lead rein, we jump (although Onion sometimes jumps a bit big for my liking) and we play together on the yard. My favourite thing of all though is to go hacking with my big friend Eva and Onion looks after me so well that I have just started being able to go off the lead rein. The best bit is going in the stubble fields where I like to kick on and beat Eva!

This summer I did my first pony club camp so next year I’m hoping I’ll be able to do the whole of camp off lead rein. I also want to go to some shows with Onion. The thing I want to do most though is have lots more fun with Onion and Teddy pony! The roan pony in the photos is Onion and the palomino is Teddy pony. My name is Finlay and I just turned 10, this is my best friend Amber and she is a 12 year old chestnut Welsh section C. We love spending time at our yard having lessons jumping is our favourite!

We are members of Haydock park pony club and we love attending rallies and competing in show jumping and dressage! When I’m not riding I’m jumping my mini jumps at home or drawing pictures of horses!!

In the new year I hope that we can continue to improve our jumping so that we can win a rosette at one of the shows!!

Being a little equestrian boy is the best!! I'm so lucky to have Amber she’s the best! ��

Kaiden Aged 12 and Declan Aged 11

Hi my name is kaiden and I'm 12, and my name is Declan and I'm 11. We have been riding since we were 4, we both learnt how to ride on our Welsh section a mare dutchess (our queenie) we shared her till We got a pony called bling when we were 6 and 5 years old.

Kaiden says,

I love riding my pony dutchess who has a spicy kick and a bit of a temper, I like doing all things to look and care for her. I'm not keen on doing haynets and bad weather. We have achieved so much together from lead rein to first ridden. I hated been on the lead rein and use to always argue with my mum and dad about going on my own, we had an 8th equifest in the tsr first ridden. We've won nearly all riding club veteran classes and riding club pony as dutchess has a bit of a mean jump.

Declan says ....

I started riding when I was 4 on dutchess who I shared with kaiden, until mr bling came along, he was a bit skinny so had to love and care for him (he was a rescue) . I fell in love with him, and loved doing everything other than mucking out, mum use to find me cuddling sitting on him and sitting in the stable whilst kaiden did all the work. Mr bling had some fire in his belly but always looked after me. I learnt how to sit on my bum and on the floor a few times. I got two supreme champions on the lead rein with him and I was very happy. I came off the lead but wasn't very confident for the show ring.

I took it upon myself to start riding dutchess who now i have a bond with and trust to take me further. At riding club I've achieved so much more as I've grown in confidence and even braved doing the riding club pony which i enjoyed.

As a pair of brothers we do everything together and team work Is definitely the the best way forward. We like everything to do with ponies we even tack up and go for hacks when mum allows, or race around the fields in head collars and ropes., but we always remember our hats.

We are very lucky to be able to have our ponies at home where we can go out in our pj's to feed.

Hi, I am maximus and I am 4 years old.

I have cerebral Palsy which affects the muscles in my legs and I am unable to walk independently. I had spinal surgery at Great Ormond Street in the summer to help release all the stiffness in my legs to try and help me walk. My doctor said I have to work really hard on my core muscles to help with my balance and each week I ride Joey the horse at Hawk Farm with Claire. I love batman and I have him on my riding hat and that gives me magic powers to help me ride Joey and improve my super hero strength. Each week I go to private physio at Kids Physio works and do lots of exercises to help me walk, we are fundraising to help with the cost of this through the charity Tree of Hope and any help and support is very much appreciated

My name is Lakai James Desousa, I am nearly 3 years old and was lucky enough to be born into a horsey lifestyle, mummy rode at HOYS with me in her tummy. I started riding when I could sit up on my pony Dennis, and I enjoy ‘going faster’. my mummy competes at lots of big shows around the country and I love going out in the lorry and to the big county shows with shops and funfairs .

next year when I am 3, I am going to compete in the lead rein classes and mummy is looking for a Shetland pony for me, because my Dennis has a very big trot!.

We breed traditional cobs and native ponies, I love meeting the foals and insist on kissing the ponies and giving them a cuddle.

I like helping with jobs on the yard, feeding my chickens, letting them out and feeding the kittens, I also like doing the horses waters and sometimes squirt mummy with the hose !

Hi my name is Blake and this is my pony Jazz.

I have had Jazz for 2 years, We do everything from hacking, Pony Club, games, hunting and showing.

Every year we go and help round up exmoor ponies with all of my friends. Our favourite show is Concours d’elegance Shows that we go to in Wales. my outfit is 17thC style and I love being a knight for the day!

I am looking forward to doing more with Jazz after the winter as neither of us like getting wet and cold!!

I have had Charlie on loan from a lovely owner for about 4 months now. He is my first pony, and I love to give him brushes and lots of treats.

My name is Austin Hayes and this is my best pony Toby. I am 6 years old and I have been riding a long time, I love doing most things with Toby but best of all I LOVE MGA (Mounted Games) and Pony Club, I’m in North Warwickshire Pony Club.

This year my best ever time was when we took the ponies to the New Forest show Ground and competed at the MGA inter-counties competition. We stayed in our horsebox and had such a good time and we saw lots of dear and there was bouncy castles and we watched the greatest showman on a giant outdoor screen, me and my brother went exploring in the forest and we saw two foxes. Toby was really fast and my team was all boys and we did really well, and I got a really nice rossette . On the last day we went to the beach and we had lots of fun in the sea. This was my most favourite outing with the ponies this summer. Next year want to go and have a nice time at MGA with my friends and I hope it will be nice and sunny again. Hi, I’m Caleb. I’m 2.5 years old and my best friend is Bella, she is a 13.2hh 7 year old cob mare.

My mummy had Bella as a three year old and since I was born I’ve been riding!

Mummy and Daddy have taken me to some fun shows in the summer where we won cutest combination and came away with so many more rosettes and a plaque!

I love giving Bella carrots and brushing her! But the best thing is going ‘up, down’ and jumping!

Mummy can’t wait to take me and Bella to more shows next year but the downside is I have to now share her with my brother!

Hi my name is cole, I'm 6 years old and I love my ponies.

I started riding when I was 3 years old on my nana claire's pony called gee, we went to shows and won lots of rosettes.

This year my mum let me show her 2 year old section c filly roseanna, and we won all of our classes

And were champion nearly every time out.

Next weekend is my presentation where I will collect my trophies and rosettes that I gained points for all season at my favourite club westhoughton r.c.

Next year I will show my new pony bella, shes a 12.2hh show pony and I'm hoping we can qualify for STARS just like my mum has for the last 2 seasons.

Also I cant wait for christmas to see what farther christmas has got me from little equestrians I've picked quite a lot off the internet and put them on my christmas list �� xx

Jayden Aged 9 & Oliver Aged 6

My name is Jayden and I am 9 years old. My brother is called Oliver and he is 6 years old. We have two ponies, mine is a grey 12.2hh called Storm and Oliver’s is an 11.1hh chestnut called Chester. We got Chester when we were both really little and he’s so kind and gentle to us. When I got bigger we got Storm too because he’s younger and more forward going for me. Chester and Storm are best friends, but Storm is bossy and definitely in charge!

We love seeing the ponies everyday and giving them lots of cuddles. We love hacking so we like taking them out to different places. We took them to the forest recently on an adventure ride through the woods. Oliver really likes dressing up with Chester so we’ve done lots of fancy dress. We have riding lessons at Snainton Riding Centre, it’s fun getting to ride the riding school ponies too and we also go to pony club there. We did our first pony club camp this year, I was quite nervous but it was loads of fun! We enjoy taking the ponies to jumping competitions as well and we both came 2nd in our classes at the Halloween showjumping.

I went to see War Horse at the theatre recently and it was really emotional. We are going to Olympia at Christmas and can’t wait to see the Puissance. We have crafty ponies who we named after our real ponies and we cuddle them every night. We love Storm and Chester and we are proving everyday that boys love ponies too!

Hey everyone, my name is Arya and I’m 3 years old (soon to be 4, in March). And this is my buddy Nemo, he turned 10 in August.

My first interest in ponies began just after my second birthday when I was visiting my Aunty Stephy’s ponies and having little rides on them. So, my mummy started by loaning a pony for me which then very quickly turned into us owning our own when my mummy brought my first pony home in October last year!

I absolutely love being outdoors, getting muddy and being around animals in general. I help out with all the duties at the yard and I especially like making Nemo his ‘spaghetti’ (chaff) for tea.��

Sometimes I get a bit bored riding in the school and on lead rein; I really like to ride on my own when mummy lets me! But I love to go out in the horse box on hacks with my friends, or to local shows, as I have a very competitive streak! I love to get dressed up in my tweed and red zipit tie, and talk to the judges.

In our first show we got a first for fancy dress and since then we have been lucky enough to show at Equifest with my friends, where we had a wonderful time and came home with some lovely rosettes. I don’t really care about the colour, I just like the ‘prize’ ☺️��

Nemo is currently in his winter woolies and a little on the chubby side, but I love him all the same. He gives great kisses and cuddles and is very patient with me! We like to share the odd carrot or crisp if mummy isn’t looking ��

Hi, my name is Georgia Mae, I am 2 years old and this is my best friend Tuscan.

Our friendship began just after my 2nd Birthday at the start of the year and we have been completely inseparable ever since and it’s certainly safe to say we have lots of fun!

I first started to ride when I was 1 on my Nanna’s 16.3hh Irish Draught, Beau, and from then on I have spent every minute possible down at the stables...that’s when my Mummy knew I needed a pony of my own and we were lucky enough to find Tuscan. He is without a doubt the most amazing pony ever, he always looks after me no matter where we are and he give he best cuddles!

In the summer I ride most days, I like to trot around the arena and over the poles, we also love to go around the farm ride, Tuscan especially, he gets super excited! We even hack with the big girls and there horses when we can but now that winter has set in we love nothing more than to wrap up warm together for an evening sunset ride before it goes dark.

Earlier this year we entered into the young handler class together for our first time at our local show and....WE WON�� it was super exciting!

I can’t wait until I’m old enough to enter into the lead rein class, I also keep telling my Mummy that we want to jump the big jumps but she’s said I’m too small yet and need to wait until I’m big enough so until then i will just have to keep practising.

Hi, my name is Holly. I am 5 years old and love Ponies and i have been riding for 6 months.

I ride weekly at Deandane Riding School, Orrell, Wigan and I have so much fun in my lessons. My teachers are the best and help me lots. My favourite part of lessons are trotting as I can now do a rising trot and did my first little jump last week. I can't wait to come off lead rein when I'm a little bigger. My favourite ponies to ride are Harley and Duncan but Duncan can be lazy sometimes, so I have to give big kicks to make him walk. I love going to Deandane each week ❤

I go to lots of horse shows with my mummy and Aunty. My favourite this year was Badminton but my legs got tired walking round so much. When I grow up I want to ride horses as a job and have lots of Ponies!!

I don't have a pony of my own so I wanted to ask Santa this year for one but my mummy says santa can't bring real Ponies, so I want a big toy one that moves when I pretend to trot, so I can't practice real hard!

Charlotte Aged 7

Hi, My name is Charlotte and I’m 7 years old, I have two ponies, and I love my ponies, from riding, grooming, going to shows and even just having a cuddle.

King is my 5 year old Hackney cross Connemara, he is a bay. I’ve owned him for 3 years, helped break him in and we go on loads of adventures, shows, pony club,clinics and clear rounds.

Brennin is a 15 year old welsh section a, that we have on full loan. I’ve only had him for about 3 weeks and can’t wait to get him out showing next year.

This is my first year off lead rein with my showing and it’s been great fun, I’ve placed in every showing class I have entered, including at London County show where I won two of my classes.

I’ve started showjumping bigger fences as that’s what king likes to do. I’ve jumped 80cm at home!!!

Next year I’m going affiliated with my showing and I’m aiming to eventually get to Horse of the Year Show.

in addition charlotte's Mum told us that she went showjumping this weekend and did the cross poles with her new pony brennin and continued to do the 55cm and 65cm with her king, she was the only double clear in the 65cm class!!

Eloise Aged 2

Eloise, just 2 years old got her pony beauty for her 2nd birthday. Eloise has however been riding since 6 months old and was out on the yard from a few days old.

Eloise learnt to ride on mumma's show jumper and pretty much sits on any horse she can! recently had her first jump on a 15.3 horse and also my own!

Eloise and beauty are already best friends, enjoying walks in the woods, pub lunches, park walks, shows and also lots of cuddles and kisses!

Ella Aged 6 Years

Hello, My name is Ella I am 6 years old and I love my ponies and riding because it is lots of fun.

My sister Harriet and I have 3 ponies, Jazz, Bruce and Nessa.

Bruce is my section B, he is 20 years old, I love him lots but unfortunately can not ride him anymore because he is old and has some health issues but we like to take him for a walk up the lane and give him lots of cuddles.

Jazz is our Dartmoor hill pony we have rescued from The Mare and Foal Sanctuary, she is 13 years old and a really fast pony. Harriet rides her lots and hacks her but I get to take her to pony club and do lots of fun lessons. We took her and Bruce to Dartmoor in the summer holidays and had the best time camping with them and learning where Jazz came from.

Nessa is a Welsh part bred who is 6 years old, my Granny has given her to us to keep Bruce company if he is lonely when we ride Jazz. She isn't broken but we take her for walks and groom her.

We also had a Shetland called Robin, he got poorly and we had to put him to sleep at beginning of the year. We miss him lots everyday but always laugh about all the funny things he used to do. I did lots of showing with Robin and won lots of rosettes and points, then at Christmas we went to a special awards dinner and I won 'Young handler of the year' and Robin got 2nd 'ridden pony of the year'. I was very proud to of won.

I care for my ponies by grooming and feeding them. My mummy has taught me how to make up all of their food so it is my job now. I also exercise them by riding, lunging and taking them for a walk.

I am still learning how to lunge well but I like being able to do it to Bruce who I can't ride anymore.

Sometimes I don't have much confidence with my riding and get scared, my mummy and Sennara (who is the best teacher ever) are trying to help me believe in myself. Jazz is much stronger and faster than Bruce was so I'm still getting used to her, and worry I'm not going to be able to stop. I am working on riding on my own and being confident, then when Senara says I'm ready I'd like to jump Jazz.

When I'm not with the ponies my favourite programme is Heartland, I would love to be like Amy with the ponies.

I love it when mummy brings the ponies to pick me up from school and I get to ride home, all of my friends get really excited to see the ponies too.
